My Second Mom

In older times, the days before "little" Ron and I got married, we did the kinds of things 20 year olds do. I don't need to elaborate, but let's just say we were probably a handful. I remember Ron liked to BBQ in the front yard of the Scotts Valley house, especially when the "p's" were out of town.

Much could have been said, but Marsha always seemed to take it in stride. "Boys will be boys," she would say, and she loved hers--all of them. I feel a lot like one of the boys too! She took me and fed me and always made me feel like a part of the family. Ron's place was like a second home, and Marsha a second mother to me.

I'll have more to say when I clear this lump from my throat, and the fog clears. In the meantime, I love you Marsha and I will miss my second mom.
